My name is Tom McPherson, I’m now retired, and I live in Morayshire, Scotland.
I had the wonderful privilege of growing up in the wild, open and unspoilt surroundings of the Scottish countryside, so inevitably my love affair with Scotland's staggering landscapes began there along with an understanding of composition and light form.
Since retiring, my interest in photography has grown and I now devote all my artistic endeavours to this genre, specifically black & white imagery & urban decay, and to this end I use mainly Nikon D750/D810/D850 full-frame & Fuji XT3/XH1/X-Pro2 mirrorless cameras, with a wide variety of glass for both systems.

These images form part of my 'Duffus Castle through the Seasons' project which I have been working on for a number of years now.

I have tried to capture the Castle and its surroundings in as many different seasonal aspects as possible.
